PowerShot A1000 IS - SEP 08 :Also a new one available from this month is the PowerShot A1000 IS which follows the same technology as other Canon cameras. Some of the technologies it features include an easy mode use, compact dimensions, 10 megapixels and new stylish designs that come in colors of silver, blue or brown. The PowerShot A1000 IS has the DIGIC II technology of image stabilization and red eye correction

PowerShot A2000 IS - SEP 08 ; The PowerShot A2000 IS that is available from this month is an ultra compact digital camera. The camera has 10 megapixels and delivers an outstanding image. It is compact dimensioned cameras that includes among other features an easy user mode, intelligent technologies like face detection, automatic red eye correction, and image stabilizer and blur optimization. The PowerShot A2000 IS has language support features for Chinese and other languages.

PowerShot A460 :The PowerShot A460 is a budget camera that goes for less than $200. This cheap camera has basic features and a 5 megapixel camera. The brick-shaped PowerShot A460 weighs about 7.4 ounces with memory card and batteries. It may be a little bit big to fit in your pocket with its 1.6 inches thickness. It has a minimal control layout that has four buttons. The PowerShot A460 also has a zoom rocker that is fit into a joy pad that navigates the menu. Its features are very easy to use.


PowerShot A470 : The PowerShot A470 is not one of the smallest cameras on the market. The PowerShot A470 has a 7.1 megapixel camera and a zoom lens of up to 3.4X. The camera’s LCD screen measures 2.5 inches and has face detection and image stabilization technologies, apart from other common A-series Canon camera features.


PowerShot A550 : The PowerShot A550 camera has an LCD screen of 2.0 inches and increased megapixels than the PowerShot A530. Its optical zoom lens is up to 4X, and it also features a VGA movie mode as well as supporting SDHC memory cards.


PowerShot A560 ; The PowerShot A560 has face detection technology, an ISO 1600 and automatic red eye correction during playback. It has a lot of features that are automatic and easy to use. The PowerShot A560 lens has an image stabilizer, and a number of accessories that give users the option to “point and capture” or do other creative photography. This camera has 7.1 megapixels and optical zoom of 4X. In addition, it also has DGIC technologies like face detection, image stabilization and others.

PowerShot A570 IS :The PowerShot A570 IS has 7.1 megapixels with a 4x optical zoom. The camera’s LCD screen measures 2.5 inches with a resolution of about 115,000 pixels. The PowerShot A570 IS VGA offers 30 frames per second and the mode is in AVI format. It features ISO 1600 that reduces blur when the light is not enough. Also, it has easy to use features.

PowerShot A590 IS : The PowerShot A590 has a 4x optical zoom and its resolution is 8 megapixels. The  PowerShot A590, like other A series models, utilizes DIGIC III technology and its processor has an improved speed than the previous models. It features high quality photos, face detection technology and image stabilization. Other features include motion detection and face detection technologies.

PowerShot A650 IS: The PowerShot A650 IS gives users manual controls and produces large detailed photographs. It has 12 megapixels with controls for manual exposure and other features common with the A-series cameras from Canon. The camera’s LCD screen measures 2.5 inches and has an optical zoom of 6X. Although the PowerShot A650 IS is bulky, its features compensate for that lack of style.

PowerShot A720 IS :The PowerShot A720 IS has a broad range of features and comes in a solid design. It offers good value for your money. Except for some new internal upgrades, this camera is nearly identical to the A710. The PowerShot A720 IS  LCD screen measure 2.5 inches, and it features image stabilization and face detection technology and other DIGIC III technologies that are common in the A series of Canon cameras. It has 8 megapixels and a zoom of 6X.

The PowerShot E1 which is available from this month has a resolution of 10 megapixels, an optical lens with a zoom of up to 4X, optical image stabilization, easy mode and face detection technology. The easy mode technology helps even a beginner to shoot great photographs with the PowerShot E1. The PowerShot E1 comes in a stylish design and in three different colors; blue, white and pink, and is ultra compact.

PowerShot G9 :The PowerShot G9 camera features a raw shooting mode and a bright screen. Other improvements in the PowerShot G9 are its face detection capabilities, focus and handling among other Canon DIGIC III technologies. For handling, it features a small thumb grip and a redesigned PowerShot G7 grip. It has a 4X digital zoom and its LCD screen measures 3 inches. The PowerShot G9 has 15 to 1/2000 seconds shutter speeds.

powerShot S5 IS; The PowerShot S5 IS camera features Canon’s technology of optical image stabilization and face detection technologies. The PowerShot S5 IS also has good metering focusing systems; it sports an 8 megapixel sensor, and an LCD size of 2.5 inches. Other miscellaneous features like auto exposure/ auto focus, are also part of the PowerShot S5 IS

PowerShot SX100 IS : The PowerShot SX100 IS features a 3 inches LCD display, VGA with 30 frames per second and long play mode and face detection technology. The PowerShot SX100 IS has DIGIC III with iSAPS which enables sharp and clear images.

PowerShot SX110 IS - SEP 08 :The PowerShot SX110 IS that is being released this month is a mid-range model camera. Some of its features include an LCD display measuring 3 inches, face detection technology, and a resolution of 9 megapixels. The PowerShot SX110 IS also supports SDHC/SD/MMC memory cards and has an easy mode for the user.
