Nikon D80
One of the mid-range professional digital single lens reflex cameras is the Nikon D80. At a maximum resolution of 10.2 megapixels, the model has little degradation from small print to large print. The memory capacity of the media is extraordinaire as you save the images to the SD and SDHC cards. You can shoot anywhere from 2-32GB of data at a time.
When worried about lighting, don't be. The D80 has a pop-up built-in flash and has a standard hotshoe that makes it capable of handling external flashes, as well. With this wide range of availability, this Nikon model can take on slaves along with the built in flash to allow optimum control over lighting and fill. With additional white balance options that include incandescent, fluorescent, sunlight and Kelvin temperature settings can be put into motion to assure only the best in quality. An accessory that can add even more control is the wireless ML-L3 (IR) remote control and accompanying cord.
Nimble and well-placed controls the D80 focuses better the closer the subjects are to the camera. Changes can be made through many menus, and they are made to copies rather than the originals. This way the photographer can try out several ideas before deciding on the final printed image. Up to three images can be combined in camera for multiple image production. Preset scene modes include macro, sports and nighttime portraiture. Retouch redeye or add numerous filters in the camera, as you get continually more creative with the photos you take.
Not only can this model take photographs, but you also have the ability to make slideshows. Pictmotion slideshows can even have music included in the file, although make sure you know what the song may sound like, as there are no speakers on the camera.
